MEDAPROTECT is a concentrated mycobactericidal Disinfectant manufactured in the European Union by Medalkan of Greece for the dual purpose of cleaning and disinfection of medical, surgical, and dental instruments in HOSPITALS and CLINICS. It is also used in disinfection of Suction tubes and surfaces. It is of very high quality, high performance, extremely economical, and thus, very high value for money compared with those on the market. It meets ISO standards, it has the CE mark (i.e. it is certified by the European Commission) and it has been approved and registered by FDA (Reg. No. FDA/C 23-11782).
- Very economical: 0.25 – 1% dilution

The usual dosage is to dilute 10ml of MEDAPROTECT in one litre of cold water (1% dilution) OR 20ml in two litres of cold water (1% dilution) OR 30ml in 3 litres of cold water (1% dilution), etc. Stir gently. Open all instruments with joints. Immerse them in. the solution. Be sure they are fully covered and let them soak for the contact time according to the desired results (see the Table above in the MICROBIOLOGICAL EFFICACY/DISSINFECTING PROPERTIES link for the contact times). Rinse your instruments with running water and wipe them with a single-use paper. After use, keep the solution covered for reuse, as it can be reused for 15 days or when it becomes
very dirty.
NOTE: If in a hurry as in the Theatre (i.e. if there are no spare instruments and very quick sterilization is required in-between patients), then you can use 2% dilution (or concentration) to eliminate ALL pathogens in 15 minutes, i.e. 20 ml in 1 litre of water or 40 ml in 2 litres of water, etc. Thus, the higher the concentration, the lesser contact time required.
MOST ECONOMICAL DISINFECTANT – GIVES SIGNIFICANT COST SAVINGS
Since the one-liter bottle of MEDAPROTECT makes 100 liters of diluted solution for disinfection at the 1% dilution, together with the fact that the diluted solution can be used for up to 15 days, this makes this disinfectant the most economical high-level disinfectant.
Indeed, value for money, MEDAPROTECT is the cheapest disinfectant available – it is cheaper than Savlon and even Bleach. For example, assuming the price of GHC1,000.00 for the one liter MOST ECONOMICAL DISINFECTANT – GIVES SIGNIFICANT COST SAVINGS

For example, assuming the price of GHC1,000.00 for the one-liter MEDAPROTECT bottle, the cost of the 1% diluted solution (using 10ml of the solution and one liter of water) is only GHC10.00. This GHC10.00 diluted solution can be used for 15 days, which is far cheaper than its competitors, which require a fresh diluted solution to be made every day for 15 days.
MEDAPROTECT CAN BE USED IN PLACE OF AUTOCLAVE
As MEDAPROTECT is used for cold sterilization including for heat-resistant and heat-sensitive instruments (i.e. in place of Autoclave), MEDAPROTECT provides further cost savings compared to the high and increasing energy cost from sterilization by Autoclave.
